How difficult is this!!

So here it goes.

I first created a blog to help me follow instructions in my professor is giving me.

She made us create this blog, then a Facebook account, a Twitter account and a LinkedIn account which I have done.

However there is so much I can share about myself.

I am currently working on a project with a friend of mine. A great food website. It is impossible however for me to start networking on this yet.

So I went back on my Facebook account and I have created a Page to tie everything together.

On this page I am going to share what I can about being a mom in the Bay Area; share what I can about what I can cook, and then hopefully find a good conversation to share in between all this. Here is the page

Mom and recipes

Next step

I have a new assignment: I am now asked to go on with my network activities.

This is where it is going to get hard. There is so much I can talk about myself, however I am two things:

A mother and a cook.

I am somehow going to find a link between being a mom, a cook and figure out a way to interact and create a buzz around these.

Have I told you that I am in the middle of a project right now with one of my best friends?

We want to create a website that would help moms or dads plan and create 5 healthy meals throughout the week. We want to bring dinnertime back to our families and we want to make sure that we can help other families do it as well.

We are still in the creative stage. When we start posting you will be the first to know.

Here is the link to the new Facebook Page I created

Entering the World of…

I do have a Facebook account. I’ve had one for I believe 10 years now. I used it to see how many friends I could get and to see how popular I was (not!). Because of the lack of professional activity I never thought about using it as a professional outlet.

As I was going through the class’s slideshow, the common theme was “make everything consistent”. So I cleaned up the account; went through the whole “Account Settings” and changed my privacy settings to make sure no information about me that was not acceptable was going to be spread (FYI, Privacy policies on FB change constantly so make sure you go back to it regularly, and make sure everything is just like you would want it).

I then I went onto the FB page I created with this account. (http://sos-dinner.com).

So that’s just for Facebook. Next step Twitter and LinkedIn.

I tried to make everything look harmonious and appear to be more or less the same theme.

So here are the three different pages. Let me know what you think.

Hello world!

I’m Caroline.

I’m taking a class on Social Media Marketing through UC Berkeley and well…. it is quite an experience!

I’m very excited as I will be able to apply what I learn in this course to my many projects I have started.

Don’t forget to post comments to help me and guide me through this learning experience.

Have a good one!
